The Pop in Your Job
What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to sit at the intersection of technology, strategy, and risk. I’m driven by the challenge of making sense of complex software licensing models—especially in the context of cloud and cybersecurity—and turning them into clear, actionable strategies that bring value to the business. I love working cross-functionally, connecting procurement, IT, legal, finance and security teams to ensure that we’re not only compliant and cost-effective, but also resilient in the face of vendor and regulatory changes. Every negotiation, audit, or cloud migration is a chance to learn something new and improve how we operate. What motivates me is the ability to influence long-term decisions and help organizations build smarter, more secure digital foundations—while keeping things practical and efficient.

We are in the Cloud—Now What? How to Control Costs, Drive Governance and Strengthen SAM's Role

Keynote

Thursday, June 11

08:45 am - 09:10 am

Live in Copenhagen

Less Details

Many organizations have successfully transitioned to the cloud—but the real challenge begins after migration. As costs grow and complexity increases, traditional licensing and SAM processes must evolve. Drawing from recent big vendor negotiations, this session explores how Software Asset Management teams can become proactive partners in cloud governance, FinOps, and vendor negotiations. This can then help to break silos between FinOps, procurement, and license management, leveraging SAM’s visibility, and creating a centralized, data-driven approach to cloud spend forecasting and governance. By leveraging data, improving collaboration, and aligning with technology teams, SAM teams can evolve their role from license managers to strategic partners, helping drive forecasts, influence vendor negotiations, and shape smarter contracts. In this session you will learn:

  • How to establish the right structure between SAM, FinOps, cloud governance, and procurement to avoid fragmentation
  • How to turn data and dashboards into negotiation power: from scattered subscriptions to forecasting
  • How to gain visibility into cloud usage and create reliable forecasts to optimize costs and support vendor negotiations
  • How to strengthen governance and collaborate with tech teams to design better solutions and increase forecasting accuracy
  • How to shift from reactive tracking to proactive cloud spend planning—and why that effort is worth it
