Vesa Kuismanen is the Director of Sourcing and Business Transformation at UPM-Kymmene, where he has been leading a significant transformation since November 2019. His work focuses on driving value creation through the digitalization of sourcing and procurement, alongside the implementation of new operating models, with performance measured by targeted value added. Prior to this, Vesa was Director of MRO Sourcing at UPM from July 2015 to November 2019, overseeing global sourcing strategies and managing a team of over 100 professionals. He has also held senior roles at Konecranes and Mirae Industry Co., Ltd., where he led global sourcing, supplier management, and business development initiatives. Vesa’s extensive career, spanning industries from paper production to mobile phone manufacturing, highlights his expertise in sourcing, procurement, and transformation leadership.
